ProDrone Blogger Publisher — Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 15, 2026. This privacy notice describes the owner-operated ProDrone Blogger Publisher application. It is separate from the ProDrone online store privacy policy.
Operator and contact
ProDrone operates this private publishing utility for its authorized Blogger blog. For questions about this notice or the processing described below, contact support@prodrone.org.uk.
Google access requested
The application requests only the Blogger authorization scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/blogger when the blog owner gives consent through Google's official authorization process. This scope permits access to, and management of, Blogger content in the consenting account. The tool is intended for ProDrone's authorized blog L’Atlas Aérien; it is not a public sign-up service. It does not request Gmail, Google Drive, or Google Contacts scopes.
What data is used and why
To operate the blog publishing workflow, the tool may access the authorized blog ID, post IDs, titles, article text/HTML, post status, dates, URLs, and related Blogger metadata. This information is used to check existing posts, back up administrator-visible content, create new approved drafts, schedule and publish approved articles, prevent duplicates, recover safely after interrupted operations, and verify the resulting public pages. The application does not request Google user data for advertising, marketing profiles, or sale.
Storage and security
When authorization is completed, the implementation is designed to store OAuth client credentials and the Google refresh token in protected GitHub Actions Secrets rather than in public article content or published source code. Google access tokens are used for authorized API requests. Administrative Blogger backups and operational journals are designed to be stored encrypted in a restricted GitHub repository area; operational logs may record limited non-secret status information and identifiers needed for audit and recovery. The tool does not request or store the owner's Google password. Access to these systems is limited by the permissions of the accounts operating them.
Services and disclosure
Google provides the authorization and Blogger API services. GitHub provides the automated workflow, Secrets, and private backup infrastructure. Information is processed through those services only as needed for the publishing and recovery workflow. ProDrone does not sell Blogger account data or share it with advertising partners. Information may be disclosed when legally required.
Retention, control, and revocation
Authorization credentials are kept only while needed for the owner's authorized publishing workflow, until they are revoked or removed. Encrypted blog backups and journal records may be retained for operational recovery and auditing and can be reviewed for deletion when no longer necessary. The account owner can revoke the application's Google access at Google Account third-party access settings. For questions or deletion requests, contact support@prodrone.org.uk. Revocation stops future authorized API access, but existing retained backups require separate review or deletion.
Updates
We may update this notice if the application's permissions or handling practices change. The date above identifies the most recent version.
